Honoring a New Wave of Healers
On Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at 5:30 pm, we gathered at Hotel Hugo’s Bar Hugo Rooftop in SoHo to celebrate the Class of 2025 Certified Reiki Practitioners.
It was a hot summer day with bright, sunny skies — the perfect backdrop for a rooftop ceremony with sweeping city views. Guests arrived in summer casual attire, ready for an evening of laughter, inspiration, and heartfelt connection. Over appetizers and drinks (my treat!), we shared stories, encouragement, and joy before presenting diplomas and taking unforgettable photos with the New York skyline glowing behind us.
Meet the 2025 Graduates
Each graduate brings a unique vision for how Reiki will flow through their life and into the world:

A Joyful Graduation Ceremony
The evening unfolded just as planned — appetizers and drinks, laughter and connection, the presentation of diplomas, and plenty of photos with the skyline glowing behind us.
It was more than a graduation. It was a celebration of courage, creativity, and commitment — honoring five practitioners stepping into their callings and carrying Reiki into new communities, healing modalities, and spaces of service.
Why the Certified Reiki Practitioner Training Stands Out
The Certified Reiki Practitioner (CRP) Program is unlike any other Reiki training in New York. Here’s why:
- Hands-On, Clinical-Grade Training
A six-month, in-person program integrating Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki with in-depth clinical instruction—150–175 hours of immersive learning—designed for second-degree Reiki students ready to become professional practitioners. - Robust Practical Experience
Students complete 50 hours of group Reiki treatments—through circles, clinics, peer exchanges, and volunteer work—and observe two full Reiki sessions in a professional office setting. - Guided Peer Practice
In-class partners support each student through long-form absent treatments and hands-on sessions. Plus, daily self-treatment is part of the curriculum. - Professional Mentoring and Feedback
The training culminates in each student performing a full-length professional Reiki treatment on a partner, under direct instructor observation—with valuable feedback on technique and professionalism. - Business Preparation for Healers
Beyond Reiki skills, this program helps you prepare to build your practice in the real world. Students learn how to:- Define and articulate their vision as a practitioner
- Develop professional presence, ethics, and client care
- Explore options for building a business—branding, websites, client outreach, and community events
- Begin planning for sustainable, long-term Reiki practice
- Clear Path to Career Development
Graduates are prepared for private practice, may work alongside the NYC Reiki Center team, and can apply their hours toward the 2,000-hour requirement for Reiki Master training. - Small Class, Personalized Support
With only eight spaces per cohort, the program ensures deep mentorship, strong peer connection, and individualized growth. - Lineage, Integrity, and Ongoing Community
Since 2007, NYC Reiki Center has operated under the traditional Usui lineage, offering students nearly 30 years of experience, post-class support, mentoring, and a grounded community of practice.
Your Turn — Join the 2026 Class
Enrollment is now open for the Certified Reiki Practitioner Class of 2026, beginning in January 2026. Spaces are limited to preserve the depth, intimacy, and quality of the training.
This program doesn’t just prepare you to give Reiki — it prepares you to become a professional practitioner, ready to build your practice, serve clients with confidence, and grow a business rooted in integrity and heart.
